John M Wright, MD
Dr. Wright has served the orthopedic surgery needs of the central Nebraska community since 2001. His superb outcomes are respected throughout the region. He has replaced more hips, knees, and shoulders than any other practicing orthopedic surgeon in the area.
He received his orthopedic surgery residency training at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City (consistently ranked the #1 orthopedic surgical hospital in the United States by U.S. News & World Report). He received additional fellowship training in complex primary and revision total hip and total knee replacement surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital (Boston). He completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the Steadman Hawkins clinic (Vail Colorado) where he assisted in the care of numerous professional athletes (including the Denver Broncos and the US Ski Team). He received his undergraduate education at Princeton University where he was a four year starter and captain of the Division I men's lacrosse team.

Dr. Wright has authored an orthopaedic surgery textbook as well as numerous textbook chapters, and peer reviewed research studies. He has lectured on orthopedic surgery topics nationally and internationally. His favorite hobbies include skiing, bicycling, hiking, sailing, and kite surfing.
